Donated £2,500 worth of workshop equipment and hosted a visit to the airport for our members to see the heritage collection and discussed our involvement with refurbishing the ‘dispersal hut’.

Liaised with Bromley Youth service to get us access to the Youth Centre and overcome multiple hurdles to allow us to get up and running.
  • Bromley Youth Services – Linda King, Youth Support Programme Manager
Recognised that we were a credible community project and gave us a period of free rent and can see the value of us maintaining some elements of the building and the equipment within the youth centre.
  • Biggin Hill Community Centre @ St Marks Church, Biggin Hill – Neil Walker, Secretary, BHCCA
The first person we spoke to in Biggin Hill and gave us lots of contacts. Hosted the Christmas tree festival where we made a contribution and hosted a discussion on the proposed Biggin Hill museum
  • New Life Church, Biggin Hill – Gareth Wales
Offered the use of the New Life Church as a possible location for our shed and gave us contacts and ideas throughout Biggin Hill.
  • Metropolitan Police, Biggin Hill station – Ruth Cumner, CPSO
Our first community project was to build a planter outside the police station as ‘a lot of older people stop on the bench outside and it would be nice to have a few plants for them to admire’. Ruth now installs, maintains and waters the plants
