AgeUK Bromley & Greenwich Men In Sheds

This page is dedicated to those who have donated to the Men In Sheds Project run by AgeUK Bromley & Greenwich. If a business we provide a link to their website so that you can understand more about our donors.

We are very grateful to Groundwork for funding our Women In Sheds pilot in our Penge Sheds. It takes place on Thursdays and all women over 50 are welcome.

Groundwork began as a simple idea: if communities help the environment, the environment will help communities.

This is still our approach today. By bringing people and the environment together with practical local action, we have an impact that is greater than the sum of its parts.

Carriers for Causes grants are available for good causes within two miles of a One Stop shop. Grants will be available to support projects that ‘benefit local communities - helping to improve lives and local places’.

Tesco Express stores are neighbourhood convenience stores averaging 200 square metres (2,200 sq ft), stocking mainly food with an emphasis on higher-margin products such as sweets, crisps, chocolate, biscuits, fizzy drinks and processed food (due to small store size, and the necessity to maximise revenue per square foot) alongside everyday essentials.

Our local Tesco Express in Eltham often supplies refreshments which are always well-received at our frequent events. Thanks to the management.

Our operations in the UK are the largest within the Group, with over 3,500 stores. As a leading retailer, with 310,000 colleagues, we serve millions of customers every week, in our stores and online.

Tesco Woolwich supported the opening of the Woolwich Shed through the provision of refreshments. Very welcome, thank you Tesco Woolwich!

At Waitrose, we believe in championing British produce, treading lightly on the environment, supporting responsible sourcing and treating people fairly. We believe everything we do goes into everything you taste.

Using Waitrose' green token scheme, we received funding for the Biggin Hill Shed. It will help us provide consumables such as new blades and fixings such as screws and nails, all of which are a significant yet essential expense. A great initiative, Waitrose. Thank you.

A co-operative (co-op) is a different kind of business. Our Co-op is owned by individual members and other co-ops, not big investors, and our members get a chance to have a say in how we're run. We're founded on a set of values and principles describing a different, fairer and better way of doing business.

The Co-Op on Well Hall Road has donated money to us to help us in setting up community events, making it easier for us to succeed. Thank you.
